Field Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a proficient Field Maintenance Technician (Handyman) to become a valuable member of our team. This role entails executing both routine and preventive maintenance tasks, conducting basic troubleshooting, and addressing a diverse range of household-related concerns within various indoor and outdoor settings.
The perfect candidate will possess a keen sense of time-sensitive scheduling, possess hands-on expertise in using tools and equipment, and show proficiency in the installation and programming of digital devices. Additionally, this candidate will actively contribute to our logistical operations and collaborate closely with various departments within our organization. Weekend availability is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure proper upkeep on each property.
Diagnose mechanical and electronic failures and determine corrective actions.
Repair or replace defective parts in the field, ensuring minimal downtime and continued operational efficiency.
Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate repairs and share knowledge and updates.
Document all service and repair activities, including parts used, time spent, and any challenges encountered.
Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment with precision and safety.
Comply with all safety regulations, environmental policies, and company guidelines.
Provide feedback on recurring issues, suggesting areas for improvement.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
Qualifications and Skills:
Preferred 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
Must know basic English and able to read and write in English.
Technical or vocational training is a plus.
Proficient in using various hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Complete work in a timely manner, conscious of guest’s schedules.
Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and home repair.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel to various field locations.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in a team.
Commitment to safety and environmental standards.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 45lbs.
Comfortable working in various outdoor weather conditions.
Ability to stand, bend, squat, and walk for extended periods of time.
Comfort navigating tight or confined spaces, like crawlspaces, attics, or under sinks.
Capability to maintain stability while standing on ladders or working on uneven surfaces.
