Job Description: An E-Commerce Buyer will assist in sourcing and purchasing merchandise to meet the company’s upsell and replenishment needs. This role will work closely with vendors, manage inventory levels, and analyze market trends to ensure the availability of quality products that align with our sales strategy and market demand.

AI Integration Skills - appreciation for AI tools, ChatGPT for problem-solving, and operational efficiency.

  • Prompt Construction: Ability to create effective prompts to elicit desired responses.

  • Custom Instructions: Proficiency in utilizing and implementing custom instructions for specific tasks and interactions.

  • Application: Understanding practical uses and integration of ChatGPT to enhance productivity and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and source products that align with the company’s sales strategy and market demand.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate prices, and manage contracts.

  • Ensure products meet quality standards and address any issues with suppliers.

  • Negotiate cost-effective deals while maintaining quality and profitability.

  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the supply chain to ensure optimal stock levels.

  • Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to make informed buying decisions.

  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date product information in the catalog.

  • Manage the budget for purchasing and ensure adherence to financial goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or any related field.

  • At least 2 years of experience as an accountant/bookkeeper

  • Prior experience working with companies operating in both the U.S. and the Philippines, particularly with multinational corporations or outsourced accounting services.

  • Proficiency in commonly used accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and familiarity with financial management tools used in both regions.

  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax laws, as well as Philippine tax regulations, including real property taxes, withholding taxes, and local business taxes among others.

  • Ability to analyze financial data, prepare reports, and provide insights that support business decisions in both countries.
