Job Description: The Bookkeeper role will help ensure compliance, efficiency, and effective financial management across US and PH operations. The ideal candidate must be an expert in accounting practices, tax laws, and regulatory requirements in both the United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the Philippines Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
AI Integration Skills - appreciation for AI tools, ChatGPT for problem-solving, and operational efficiency.
Prompt Construction: Ability to create effective prompts to elicit desired responses.
Custom Instructions: Proficiency in utilizing and implementing custom instructions for specific tasks and interactions.
Application: Understanding practical uses and integration of ChatGPT to enhance productivity and communication.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or any related field.
At least 2 years of experience as an accountant/bookkeeper
Prior experience working with companies operating in both the U.S. and the Philippines, particularly with multinational corporations or outsourced accounting services.
Proficiency in commonly used accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and familiarity with financial management tools used in both regions.
In-depth knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax laws, as well as Philippine tax regulations, including real property taxes, withholding taxes, and local business taxes among others.
Ability to analyze financial data, prepare reports, and provide insights that support business decisions in both countries.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations in both the U.S. and the Philippines.
Manage and consolidate financial records efficiently to reduce errors and improve overall financial management.
Handle cross-border transactions, including foreign exchange, transfer pricing, and international tax considerations.
Facilitate communication and coordination with local teams and stakeholders, understanding business environments and cultural nuances.
